Furla launches new logo and SS20 series during Milan Fashion Week

Italian leather company Furla launched a new modern logo and its latest 20 spring/summer collections during Milan Fashion Week.

The new logo marks a new chapter in the long history of this Italian handbag company. In the spirit of its founder, the Italian tradition of more than 90 years, it has always been forward-looking, so the logo has been refreshed.

The logo is inspired by the architectural style of the Fondazione Furla arch, reminiscent of Bologna’s world-famous Portici. It says that the logo represents openness, tolerance, joy, creativity and enthusiasm: the brand value of Furla.

In the speech of the theme of #Furlaillusions in Milan Fashion Week in spring and summer 2020, Furla chose one of Milan's historic palaces, Isimbardi Palace, where there are murals of Tiepolo and Morazzone and Hayez's paintings. The demonstration was transformed throughout the Palazzo Isimbardi and took inspiration from the new range of architecture. Themed with several rooms to show different design inspirations: a striped room, all with striking graphics and bright colors; a black and white room, a simple and elegant two-color room, including sitting on the Egg chair of the 1970s Model; painted room with surreal patterns; mirror room, illusion, infinite magnolia field; chain room, a vinyl corridor, curved lights, all white.

SS20 series

Furla's latest collection is inspired by Italian craftsmanship and contemporary beauty. The elegant and refined collection is decorated with modern styles and “fluffy” colors: classic black and white with apricot and peach, cognac, brandy and burgundy, and pink/white/black floral print designs, reminiscent of the 1960s.

Highlights of the new series include Furla 1927, Furla pillows and Furla Piper.

The Furla 1927 handbag presents rainbow-like colors, fully reflecting the contemporary style in design. This is the first handbag, which includes the new Furla arch as a structural element, highlighting the brand identity. It represents heritage, identity and craftsmanship. The Furla pillow is a variant of Furla 1927. The Furla 1927 is a messenger bag made of ultra-soft nappa leather, with delicate soft tones and side gussets, which can increase the capacity of the bag. Furla Piper bags symbolize time and space: they rethink the iconic and well-loved Furla style, adding new font logos and metal lock details.

Furla will exhibit at Bay 2 Bay Village, TFWA, Cannes
